Safety Don Chapman’s Arrival at UNC

Don Chapman committed and decommitted from Colorado and Washington State his senior year. He didn’t decommit from WSU until Dec. 21, 2018. Jay Bateman was hired at UNC as co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach two weeks earlier. With Chapman’s recruitment re-opened, it was the perfect opportunity to make the safety a Tar Heel.
