Emery Simmons got the start at wide receiver for UNC in place of Beau Corrales. He had five catches for 38 yards. Prior to this game, the sophomore had four total career catches. He matched that mark by the first quarter. Sam Howell showed trust in Simmons by looking his way multiple times on the first drive of the game (including the first play). (All Tar Heels)
