Comparing John Bunting To Frank Beamer's Early Years

North Carolina’s 69-14 loss to Louisville Saturday has once again set the John Bunting supporters versus those that want him terminated as the Tar Heels’ football coach. Most of Bunting’s supporters point to the patience Virginia Tech had with coach Frank Beamer as a blueprint UNC must follow. The comparisons are somewhat valid, as Beamer really didn’t take off until his seventh season, the first year the Hokies won more than six games under his watch.
