As expected in the first game of the 2020 basketball season, with UNC having played no exhibitions, no scrimmages, relying heavily on freshmen, and still in the middle of COVID-19 protocols, there were moments where the Tar Heels looked great and others where they looked like a team seeing its first action of the season against a team in another jersey.
