Series History: North Carolina vs. Notre Dame

UNC last played Notre Dame in 2017, which was also the first career start for Irish quarterback Ian Book. Filling in for an injured Brandon Wimbush, Book completed 17-31 passes for 146 yards and a TD. Interestingly, UNC's starting quarterback that day was Chazz Surratt, who now starts at linebacker for the Tar Heels and leads the defense with 68 tackles. (Sports Illustrated)
