What started as an offensive shootout ended as a defensive grudge match as No. 19 North Carolina’s explosive offense was shut down late in Friday’s 31-17 loss to No. 2 Notre Dame. The Tar Heels (6-3, 6-3 ACC) churned out 14 points and 125 total yards of offense on their first two possessions and that proved to be the offensive highlight of the afternoon.
