Virginia transfer Trey Murphy ruled immediately eligible

The Virginia Cavaliers received the news they were hoping for. Transfer forward Trey Murphy has been granted immediate eligibility. The news came shortly before UVA tipped off against Towson in the Wahoos’ season-opener. The 6-foot-8 wing announced his decision to transfer from Rice to UVA in April. Last season, Murphy played 29 games with 23 starts. (Wahoos 247)
