UNC’s plan on defense had been highlighted and underlined and emphasized during the course of its preparation for Tuesday, and yet the lines of communication still got crossed in irreparable ways. Slow to react at times and losing their way at others, the 16th-ranked Tar Heels couldn’t sufficiently account for No. 3 Iowa’s lethal collection of shooters.
