Brandon Tate starts game off with a bang
Posted Oct 2, 2005
Brandon Tate, UNC's freshman kick returner from Burlington, ran back the opening kickoff for a 96-yard touchdown in the Tar Heels' 31-17 victory over Utah on Saturday. "Brandon Tate, he's awesome, man. The guy is so fast. He kind of has Michael Waddell and Jacoby Watkins speed. The guy actually had an angle on him, and I saw that. But I knew it was going back to the house as soon as he broke it out to the sideline," UNC senior linebacker Tommy Richardson said.
