UNC is relying on red-hot Fedroff

Tim Fedroff keeps dirt from Yankee Stadium's warning track in his North Carolina bat bag for inspiration and good luck. Last weekend he proved that he didn't need any help at the plate, however, no matter what piece of hallowed ground from the major leagues is involved. Fedroff treated the Cary Regional of the NCAA Baseball Tournament as if he were taking batting practice. (Winston-Salem Journal)
