Tar Heels Fail to Capitalize on Strengths in Rivalry Loss

In the final seconds of Tuesday’s 79-76 loss at PNC Arena, freshman guards R.J. Davis and Caleb Love both misfired on potential treys that would have forced overtime. In that moment, those were the correct shots. However, far too often, both in this game and this season, the Tar Heels’ overreliance on perimeter shooting has played into their downfall.
