Mack Brown faced Texas A&M 14 times as Texas’ coach with one game indelibly etched into his memory. The bonfire log stack collapse tragedy at A&M in 1999 has stayed with him more than 20 years. “I remember we lost 12 young people that were working on the bonfire,” said Brown, who now will lead UNC against A&M in the Orange Bowl on Jan. 2.
