This is the sixth time UNC has begun ACC play with two losses. This was the first time this season UNC did not trail in the first half. Freshmen Day'Ron Sharpe and Kerwin Walton made their first career starts. Kerwin Walton made three 3-pointers for the second time in three games and had four assists.
