Day'Ron Sharpe's 25 points are the most by a UNC freshman post player since Tyler Hansbrough scored 27 at Duke on 3/4/2006. Sharpe scored 19 of UNC's 37 points in the second half. Freshman Kerwin Walton was 4 for 8 from three-point range. The four three-pointers are the most by a Tar Heel this season. Armando Bacot had a game-high 10 rebounds.
