If Lawson gets his way, Pack will start on defense today
Posted Sep 24, 2005
Manny Lawson, the Wolfpack's 6-6, 245-pound senior defensive end, would love nothing more than for N.C. State to begin today's game against North Carolina on defense -- shut off what there is of the UNC ground game, deflect Matt Baker's passes and force a punt. Carter-Finley Stadium will be loud, most of the crowd will be wearing red and Lawson refuses to dwell on the disappointment of last year's 30-24 loss in Chapel Hill.
