Three Carolina Golfers Qualify For U.S. Open

Three former University of North Carolina golfers have qualified to play in the 2008 U.S. Open Championship. Davis Love III, Fernando Figueroa and Kevin Silva all qualified at 14 sectional qualifiers held Monday, 13 in the U.S. and one in England. The 2008 U.S. Open will be played June 12-15 at Torrey Pines South Course in LaJolla, Calif., a par 72, 7,607-yard layout.
