Larry Edwards jump-starts UNC career

When John Bunting added former North Carolina linebacker Tommy Thigpen to his Tar Heels coaching staff, he had a special project for him: Larry Edwards. There was no questioning the junior linebacker’s talent or his great potential. It’s just that Edwards’ career had stalled because he’d wrongly believed additional weight was what he needed to get better. What he really needed was to learn the game, to study it, to think it.
