A college basketball coach does not reach 900 victories without a lot of losing. North Carolina's Roy Williams walked away from the bench on the losing side 260 times. We mention this not to undermine Williams’ impending achievement, but to underscore just how much sacrifice goes into the milestone he will reach the next time the Tar Heels win.
