UNC Rally Falls Short in Syracuse

North Carolina continued its inconsistency in New York on Monday, suffering a 72-70 defeat to Syracuse at the Carrier Dome in its final road game of the season. UNC led 22-13 with 6:46 left before halftime and then any carryover from the Florida State win vanished. Armando Bacot led the Tar Heels with 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting and 15 rebounds.
