Saturday's loss making life tough for Tar Heels
Posted Sep 19, 2005
The worn eyes. The bruised ribs. The inability to shout plays — or even breathe. Matt Baker certainly didn't look like a quarterback who threw for nearly 300 yards Saturday night. The dejected talk. The angry scowls. The celebrating running back on the opposing sideline. The UNC defense certainly didn't look like a unit that had just held in check the nation's second-highest scoring offense. But fitting for this night, against undefeated Wisconsin, Baker had a career-high in yards and the defense allowed only two touchdowns. And the Tar Heels were whipped.
