has been playing baseball since he was five years old. He never truly got into basketball, and he tried soccer, but he got kicked in the shin once and “didn’t really appreciate that” so his days on the pitch didn’t last long. He played travel baseball with his friends and stuck with it all the way to high school. That’s when it became serious. (Inside Carolina)
