UNC LB Eugene Asante Preparing for Increased Role

The Tar Heels return 10 of 11 starters on defense, with the sole loss being Chazz Surratt to the NFL draft, but UNC defensive coordinator Jay Bateman is bringing back all 11 Orange Bowl starters. It’s going to be up to junior linebacker Eugene Asante to fill the void left by Surratt, which is the same task he managed quite well in the Orange Bowl in January.
