Starting pitching has a way of sending momentum built in a young season the opposite direction in a hurry for one night. The Wolfpack, which had lost its previous five ACC games, got to North Carolina starter Austin Love early on its way to a 9–2 victory at Boshamer Stadium over the Tar Heels, which had won six of its last previous seven ACC games.
