UNC Hiring Hubert Davis as Men's Basketball Head Coach, Team Meeting Scheduled

A UNC men’s basketball team meeting is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Monday following a UNC Board of Trustees’ meeting to approve the hiring of Hubert Davis as its 19th men’s basketball coach, only its fifth in 60 years and its first Black men's basketball coach, according to sources. Davis spent the past nine seasons as an assistant on Williams’ staff.
