King Rice to return to Monmouth next season after interviewing for assistant position at UNC

The lure of UNC basketball is undeniable. And when Roy Williams announced his retirement, Monmouth head coach King Rice was among the candidates, comprised mostly of former Tar Heels, asked to interview. Even after Hubert Davis was named to replace Williams, there was speculation that Rice would return to his alma mater as an assistant.
