Local NFL hopefuls prepare for next week’s draft

More than two dozen players with connections to the state hope to hear their names called in the 2021 NFL Draft. Here’s a roundup of the top North Carolina prospects: The highest-rated Tar Heel, Javonte Williams rates a 6.40. With a combination of power and speed, he’s considered the second best back in the draft and projected to go in round two. (North State Journal)
