UNC basketball injuries hamper learning
Posted Sep 7, 2005
A trip to the Bahamas over Labor Day weekend was supposed to give North Carolina's five freshmen a head start. It didn't exactly turn out that way. Guard Marcus Ginyard missed all four practices and both exhibitions because of a broken bone in his left (nonshooting) wrist that required surgery. Guard Danny Green missed one game with a thigh bruise. Guard Bobby Frasor couldn't shoot without pain after an opponent came down hard with an elbow on his right shoulder.
