Hubert Davis Reveals Retirement Conversations with Roy Williams

In two podcast interviews (Katz, Rothstein), UNC basketball coach Hubert Davis discussed conversations he had with Roy Williams ahead of his retirement. According to Davis, Williams knew he was nearing retirement in recent years and had floated the idea to Davis to be his successor. Williams' retirement announcement came as a surprise to most.
