Tar Heels' Marcus Ginyard has surgery

Marcus Ginyard had surgery to repair a broken left wrist Tuesday morning. The 6-foot-5 swingman should be able to play when practice begins in October if his recovery goes as expected, team trainer Marc Davis said. Ginyard was injured when he fell during a pickup game in late July. Two sets of X-rays failed to detect the break, which was recently discovered with the aid of an MRI, Williams said.
