Former North Carolina defensive end Greg Ellis was a two-time All-American in 1996 and 1997, an honorable mention All-America in 1995, and a three-time first-team All-ACC selection. Ellis was one of the key players on perhaps UNC’s best defense in the modern era, as the Tar Heels finished No. 2 in the nation defensively his junior and senior seasons.
