Sara Daavettila Becomes First UNC Women's Tennis Player To Reach Three NCAA Singles Quarterfinals


UNC senior became the first player in the storied history of the Tar Heel women’s tennis program to reach three NCAA Singles Tournament quarterfinals, with a victory over No. 21 ranked Jessica Failla of Pepperdine in the Round of 16. Daavettila, the 2021 ACC Player of the Year, didn’t need long to cruise to a 6-3, 6-2 victory on Tuesday. (Chapelboro.com)
