Former North Carolina defensive end Julius Peppers was a two-time All-American, a unanimous All-American in 2001, Lombardi Award winner, Bednarik Award winner, named the nation’s top two-sport athlete in 2001 by The Sporting News, finished 10th in Heisman balloting in 2001, and was named to the 50-year 50 Greatest ACC Players Ever team.
