Former North Carolina forward was an All-American in 1974, a first-team All-ACC selection in 1974, second-team All-ACC in 1973, and on the All-NIT team in 1973. Jones' jersey is honored in the Smith Center, and he is a member of the Naismith Hall of Fame. A great defensive player, Jones never backed down on either end of the court. (Tar Heel Illustrated)
