Matt Baker solid in scrimmage
Posted Sep 1, 2005
Quarterback Matt Baker was solid, and no one got injured. That amounted to a good scrimmage for the North Carolina football team Wednesday night at Kenan Stadium. Baker completed 7 of 10 passes for 120 yards, including a 38-yarder to wide receiver Mike Mason, in his stint against UNC's first-team defense. Sophomore Justin Warren led the rushing attack with 34 yards on seven carries, and projected starting tailback Barrington Edwards rushed for 30 yards and a touchdown on seven carries.
