Javonte Williams, Michael Carter part of NFL preseason's top five running back competitions

In the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft, the New York Jets selected former UNC running back Michael Carter. It's not a given, but this is the player I feel could take over the backfield by season's end. The Denver Broncos traded up for Javonte Williams for a reason. He won't start off the 2021 season as the No. 1 back, but keep an eye on this situation.
