Erin Matson Named NFHCA South Region Player of the Year

Add another award to the trophy case of UNC star Erin Matson, who was selected Monday as the National Field Hockey Coaches Association South Region Player of the Year. Matson scored the overtime game-winner in the Tar Heels’ NCAA championship game win over Michigan, giving coach Karen Shelton’s program its third straight national title.
