Former UNC forward Walter Davis was a first-team All-ACC selection in 1977, named to the NCAA All-Tournament team, Patterson Medal recipient, named to ACC’s 50th Anniversary team, and his jersey is honored at the Smith Center. Davis is the 10th all-time leading scorer at UNC (1,863 pts). His 15.7 ppg career average ranks 23rd in UNC history.
