Former North Carolina guard/forward Jack Cobb was National Player of the Year in 1926, a three-time All-American, a three-time All-Southern Conference selection, Patterson Medal recipient, Helms Foundation Hall of Fame inductee, and his jersey has been retired by UNC. Cobb averaged 15 points per game at a time when UNC averaged 35 ppg.
