Former UNC center Sam Perkins was a three-time first-team All-American from 1982-1984, a NABC Hall of Fame inductee, named to the ACC’s 50th Anniversary team, and his jersey is honored in the Smith Center. Perkins is UNC’s third all-time leading scorer with 2,145 points, second leading rebounder with 1,167, and third in blocked shots with 245.
