How new UNC Football commit Beau Atkinson can help the Tar Heels

Beau Atkinson broke out as a sophomore for Leesville Road. But he did it at 205 pounds – not an ideal playing weight for a Division I defensive end. Over the next year and change he increased his maximum weight on bench presses and squats by 100 pounds each. When the Pride kicked off their 2021 season in February, Atkinson was up to 240 pounds.
