Former Tar Heel guard was two-time National Player of the Year in 1983 & '84, two-time consensus All-American, ACC Player of the Year, ACC Athlete of the Year, NCAA Tournament All-Time Team, member of the Naismith Hall of Fame, and his jersey No. 23 is retired by UNC.
