Larry Brown stayed quiet on discussing being hired as a Memphis assistant coach under Penny Hardaway — until Thursday. Brown spoke for the first time on coming to Memphis after being named the winner of the Chuck Daly Lifetime Achievement Award by the National Basketball Coaches Association.
