The 1992 Olympics in Barcelona were notable for UNC alum Michael Jordan, who helped the USA dominate their way to gold as part of the “Dream Team.” One of the teams they crushed was a Germany team that included Henrik Rödl. While playing high school in the US as an exchange student, Rödl caught the eye of Dean Smith, who offered him a scholarship.
