Duke's Matthew Hurt made the all-ACC first team but Duke had a disappointing season, missing the NCAA tournament. Hurt signed a two-way deal with the Houston Rockets, a team which won 17 games last season. Pittsburgh's Justin Champagnie was the ACC's second-leading scorer at 18 points per game, while leading the league in rebounding at 11.1.
