Tar Heels look spotty in the running game, offensive line


Coach took his first look at North Carolina in game situations yesterday and said he saw a team in need of much more practice before the 2005 season begins. The Tar Heels went through a scripted scrimmage at Kenan Stadium that lasted 2 1/4 hours. Quarterback was smooth and productive and the defense showed improvement, but the offensive line and running game didn't produce. (Winston-Salem Journal)
