Matt Harvey draws start for Tar Heels
Posted May 30, 2008
North Carolina has staked its start in today's NCAA Cary Regional baseball tournament on the right arm of a freshman pitcher. Matt Harvey will be the only rookie starter in an otherwise veteran lineup. A year ago, he was pitching in the Connecticut high-school playoffs. Harvey will take the mound at 6 p.m. against Mount St. Mary's as North Carolina begins its quest for a third consecutive trip to the College World Series.
