Tar Heels lose defensive end Xavier Rainey

Xavier Rainey will no longer be able to take the football field for the Tar Heels. The junior defensive end has received a medical hardship, a UNC spokesperson confirmed to Inside Carolina on Monday morning. Rainey suffered a broken lower fibula earlier this year during spring practice and has been unable to recover.
