Matt Baker faces tough task in opener -- Tenuta's blitz
Posted Aug 14, 2005
Rumor had it when Jon Tenuta was North Carolina's defensive coordinator, back in the glory days of Julius Peppers, the rivalry with offensive coordinator Gary Tranquill was friendly. Well, that's what UNC's new starting quarterback Matt Baker was explaining on Saturday, among other things. Tenuta and UNC head coach John Bunting didn't see eye-to-eye on various matters, recruiting being one of them. So, Tenuta bolted to join Chan Gailey at Georgia Tech, which just happens to be where the Tar Heels open their 2005 season Sept. 10.
