Running back Aaris Reed commits to Tar Heels

Aaris Reed, a tailback and cornerback from the Washington, D.C., suburbs, has committed to North Carolina. Reed, clocked at 4.5 seconds for 40 yards, rushed for 1,336 yards and 18 touchdowns a year ago at Westlake High in Waldorf, Md. He and prep teammate Darius Powell, a linebacker/defensive end, are two of UNC's 20 commitments from high school seniors.
