Tar Heels add Charlotte Independence receiver Hakeem Nicks


Charlotte Independence High football coach Tom Knotts predicts that , who has committed to North Carolina, will get a lot of attention this season. As a junior, Nicks backed up Mohamed Massaquoi, now at Georgia. Knotts said Nicks is 6-foot-2 and 201 pounds with huge hands and ran the 40-yard dash in 4.51 seconds at the Shrine Bowl combine. "He's not that well known," Knotts said, "but he's going to become well known this fall." (Charlotte Observer)
